Sea fishing

There are many possibilities for sea fishing in Austevoll. You can go shore fishing from rocks, all the public piers and from the bridges. You can of course go fishing from a boat too. You can hire a boat or charter a fishing boat with a skipper for real sea fishing. M/S Krusing may be chartered, in cooperation with The fisheries college in Austevoll. Contact tel 975 673 07. Freshwater angeling

There are many lakes and rivers in Austevoll. Angling is permitted in the waterway by the Kvernavatnet Lake on the east of Huftarøy Island. A fishing permit must be purchased. Haukanesvassdraget waterway has three lakes and a fishing permit may be purchased from Kolbeinshamn general stores, tel: 48 20 20 13 or Svein Midtøy tel: 95 08 68 56/56 18 55 88.
